Fixin’ Shit

And I don’t think I broke anything. Of course, as soon as I delete everything except my plugins and themes and reupload Wordpress 2.2.3 and my wp-config.php, everything is running smooth as buttered silk. I go in and turn all my plugins on and hit reload, and it’s bad again.

Crap.

I go in and disable them all and it’s fast again, then turn them on one at a time, all the while bitching like a little girl to anyone who will listen… All of the weird plugins I’m using now. Dagon Design Sitemap Generator, FeedBurner FeedSmith, Google Reader widget, Google Sitemaps, PXS Mail Form (modified for Akismet), Twitter widget, Wordpress.com Stats (which I heavily suspected), WordPress Database Backup. I turned them on, one at a time, and it was all OK. I turn them all on at once, and it’s OK. So I go back and turn on everything and it’s slow again.

What the fuck.

Lo and behold, it’s TEXTILE 2. Which I held beyond contempt because it was a default plugin. I thought it had something to do with the editor, turns out, no, it’s just some crap that I can do without. So it’s being done without. I also took the time to update to the newest genkitheme, because something else I did broke the theme like whoa.

Tonight, I’ll be making sure all my plugins are up to date, and then I can finally sleep well. Let me know if anything is broken, or if any of my posts don’t make it to the feedburner feed (I just checked and it seems to be receiving OK now).
