I still haven&#039;t gotten any new laces for it, I&#039;m using my cut down athletic laces from a pair of Nikes I never wear, and double knotting puts things fairly well up out of the way. 

I might try one of the variations on the hidden knot listed on the site there, I don&#039;t think there&#039;s enough space for another eyelet. It looks like there&#039;s room on the toe end, but that&#039;s pretty well blocked by where the tongue connects.

Still, probably a hundred or so miles on them at this point and still very happy with the result, probably moreso than when the velcro was new.</description>

Back in the day, cyclists developed a methode of lacing that prevented entanglement in the chain ring.

You may need to add one set of eyelets to make this work on your shoes...you need an even number of eyelets on each side, or a multiple of 4 on each shoe.
