On Copyright…
Blog November 15th, 2007
So, I was thinking a little about the codification of our culture, and the increasingly common licensing agreement I’ve inadvertently ended up agreeing to just by reading any number of blogs, and I realized that I don’t have any licensing statements on the work on the Chuffle.
Why is that? Is it because I don’t care about the stuff I’ve written here? Oh, god no. I love the writing I’ve done. There are times when I go back and read stuff on here and it just baffles me, because I don’t remember being that clever. It is instead, a little thing I like to call mother fucking dignity.
Every other god damned page I read now has some fucking copyright copyleft copypasta creative commons sharealike gnu public license BSD bullshit at the end of EVERY FUCKING POST.
I love turnips
THE WORK ON THIS SITE CANNOT BE LOOKED AT BY REPUBLICANS AND IS IN FACT OWNED BY THE CATS OF THE WORLD TO BE USED AS THEY WISH EXCEPT IF THEY WANT TO USE IT COMMERCIALLY AND THEN IT COMPLIES TO SECTION 34 OF THE TYCHO TREATY R-E-S-P-E-C-T 2007 LCMMMVMMX
That doesn’t add anything to your page, retards. If someone is going to steal your work, they’re not going to stop just because you put two lines of gibberish at the bottom.
Should I probably have some copyright info on my page? Sure. I probably should, but I’m also not going to insult everyone’s intelligence by reminding them EVERY SINGLE POST THEY READ that they ALSO SHOULD NOT STEAL THIS PAGE. AND THIS PAGE. DITTO THAT ONE. YUP. YOU GOT THE IDEA BUDDY.
